What is dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a safe and highly effective exfoliation treatment. Using a sterile, disposable scalpel, your therapist gently removes the top layer of dead skin cells along with fine vellus hair, often known as peach fuzz.
There is no downtime, and your skin is left feeling smoother, fresher and brighter straight away. With the dead skin and fine hair gone, your skincare can work more effectively and makeup sits more smoothly.
Every dermaplaning facial starts with a Dermalogica double cleanse, steam and hot towels to prepare the skin, and is finished with a peel and SPF 50 to protect your fresh skin.

Before your treatment
- Stop retinol or AHA products 3 days before your treatment
- Let us know about any skin conditions or medication when you book
After your treatment
- Avoid retinol or AHA products for 3 days after your treatment
- Wait 24 hours before applying makeup
- Avoid touching your face and use gentle, non-active skincare
- Apply SPF 30+ daily

Will I get stubble after dermaplaning?
No. The hair will return to its usual soft feeling.
Will my hair grow back thicker after dermaplaning?
No. Dermaplaning does not make hair grow back thicker, darker or coarser.
Will my facial hair grow back faster?
No. Hair regrows at the same rate and texture as before.
Is there any downtime after dermaplaning?
No. There is no downtime, so you can carry on with your day. We recommend waiting 24 hours before applying makeup.
